Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas greeted Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el Sisi on the 34th anniversary of Sinai Liberation.

In a cable sent to Sisi, Abbas hailed the sacrifices of the Egyptian army and people for restoring Egyptian land as well as advocating the Palestinian cause with a view to ending occupation and setting up an independent Palestinian State with Al-Quds as its capital.
