Arab League Secretary General Nabil al-Araby

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas met with Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby in the Egyptian capital Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed efforts exerted by the Palestinian leadership at the UN Security Council (UNSC) following failure of the Palestinian-Arab draft resolution, which determined a timeframe to end the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands and joining several international treaties and charters, Arab League Assistant Secretary General for Palestinian Affairs Ambassador Mohammad Sabeeh stated to reporters.
They also addressed efforts exerted by the Palestinian government of national consensus to deliver construction materials with international donors and organization in order to reconstruct the Gaza Strip and aid its residents who suffered recent Israeli hostility.
The meeting also discussed the danger of current Israeli escalation in occupied Jerusalem, which aims at changing the city's historic landmarks through consecutive storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by settlers, as well as Israeli efforts to divide the holy Mosque according to time and space, which could eventually lead the situations into a religious war.
Abbas also discussed with Al-Araby agendas to be addressed during meetings of Arab Foreign Ministers at League's headquarters on Thursday.
