Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas

Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas on Tuesday received a phone call from head of the political office of Palestinian Hamas movement Khaled Meshal.

The two sides took up over the phone Israeli violations in occupied East Jerusalem, especially against Al Aqsa Mosque.

They also discussed the file of inter-Palestinian reconciliation to end chasms among Palestinians.

Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday stormed Al Aqsa Mosque for the third day running with the assistance of Israeli officials and Jewish settlers.

They destroyed gates of the mosque while storming the Maghreba Gate of the holy site. They further attacked Palestinians who are staying inside the mosque and hurled against them sound and incendiary bombs and tear gas canisters. They also fired rubber bullets.
