Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday began an official visit to Algeria, in response to an invitation by the President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
During the three-day visit, Abbas is expected to meet with Algerian senior officials to discuss the latest developments of the Palestinian cause.
The two sides will also discuss ways to mobilize more Arab support to the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with al-Quds as a capital.
The Palestinian leader was received at Houari Boumediene Airport by Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal and Minister for Foreign Affairs Ramtane Lamamra.
