Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday stressed the importance of keeping Syrian territories and people united.

The Palestinian people and leadership urge all the parties concerned to work on keeping the war-torn Syria united, Abbas said during a meeting with a visiting delegation from Syria's occupied Golan.

The delegation members, for their part, thanked Abbas for his stances on the Syrian issue.

The meeting was attended by officials of the Palestinian Authority and Fatah movement.
