Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas underlined the need for internationalizing the Palestinian cause in light of the continued Israeli intransigence.
Speaking at an extraordinary session of the Arab Foreign Ministers' meeting at the Arab League, Abbas said that the only solution is to internationalize the Palestinian cause and go to the UN Security Council to set a time frame for Israel's withdrawal to the pre-1967 lines.
“We are no longer able to live with the status quo,” he added.
The meeting was held to discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian issue in light of Abbas’s plan to seek a UN Security Council resolution that sets a timetable for Israel’s withdrawal to the pre-1967 lines.
