Cairo - Arab Today
Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal has said the decision to impose a temporary ban on the live airing of the house sessions aimed at giving a chance to the lawmakers to carefully study the laws issued in the absence of parliament.
In press statements on the sidelines of the parliament sessions on Tuesday, Abdel Aal said he could not shoulder the repercussions resulting from the inability to fulfill the mission of putting the laws into force.
The house decided last night to ban the live transmission of the sessions until it finishes discussing the laws issued since July 2013 by the executive power as mandated by the 2014 constitution.
The majority of MPs had agreed to a proposal submitted by 40 members to stop TV live coverage.
