The African continent is a top priority of the Egyptian foreign policy now, said Egypt's Ambassador in Kampala Ahmed Abdel Aziz Moustafa.
He hailed the role of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development in providing support for the African countries.
The remarks came during a lecture Moustafa gave at the International University of East Africa about the Egyptian role in Africa.
The lecture, which was dubbed (Egypt and Africa...past, present and future), comes as part of the efforts exerted by the Egyptian Embassy in Uganda to communicate with the Ugandan society with all its sects.
Egypt is linked to the African continent since the Pharaonic era and till the modern age, said the ambassador according to a statement issued on Saturday by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
Moustafa highlighted the depth of Egyptian-Ugandan relations especially after the June 30 Revolution.
