Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Adel el-Beltagi returned to Cairo on Thursday from Kuwait after leading Egypt's delegation at the two-day meetings of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD).
The Arab agriculture ministers, Islamic Development Bank (IDB), OPEC Fund and the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Area (ICARDA) participated in the meetings.
The get-together tackled the results of enhancing food security project in the Arab region and expanding the venture to include all the Arab countries instead of nine states, namely; Jordan, Morocco, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen, Algeria, Iraq and Palestine.
