Egyptian military aid plane

An Egyptian plane, loaded with humanitarian aid offered by the Egyptian armed forces to the Syrian refugees, arrived here on Tuesday.

The aircraft was received by Lebanese Social Affairs Minister Rashid Derbas, Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohamed Badr Eldin Zayed, Egypt's Deputy Ambassador Khalid Anis and Egyptian Military Adviser to Lebanon Brigadier General Mohammad Galal.

Egypt is to send two other aid aircraft to the Syrian refugees residing in Arsal town in northeast Lebanon.

The three batches of Egyptian aid includes 18.5 tons of foodstuffs, 100 tents, 2,500 blankets, 1.2 tons of medicines and medical supplies as well as 2,500 pieces of clothing.

The aid is being sent out of Egypt’s awareness of the humanitarian sufferings of the displaced Syrians in Lebanon, according to Zayed.
