Al Azhar has strongly condemned the terrorist attack, which targeted the convoy of Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat.

Barakat died of wounds he sustained in the terror attack.

In a statement Monday, Al Azhar said that Islam has nothing to do with the perpetrators of the terrorist attack.

Al Azhar also called on relevant state bodies to arrest the perpetrators of the terrorist attack.
