Al Azhar wrapped up on Sunday preparations for its conference aiming at confronting terrorism and extremism.
At a press conference at the Sheikhdom, Azhar Undersecretary Abbas Showman said the conference, to take place on Wednesday, aims at addressing misleading concepts that led to the spread of terrorism and extremism.
It also aims at mulling best ways for coexistence among followers of different religions to achieve world peace, he said.
The conference will also discuss Jihad, atheism as well as the true meaning of Islamic Caliphate, he added.
Sunni and Shiite scholars and followers of other divine religions are invited to the conference.
