Al Azhar greeted on Sunday all Egyptian workers on the occasion of Labour Day.

In a statement, Al Azhar expressed its full support for President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's keenness on increasing local production, decreasing imports and encouraging Egyptians to buy their country's products.

It also voiced its appreciation of the national role played by Egypt's labourers in pushing forward the development march in the country during this critical stage.

It called on all parts to continue work to help shoring up Egypt's economy.
