Al Azhar Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed el Tayyeb held on Wednesday talks with Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa.

The talks took up several Arab and Islamic issues, including means of promoting joint cooperation and Al Azhar's role in fighting extremist ideology.

The Bahraini monarch arrived here on Tuesday on an official visit that is aimed at holding talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on means of promoting joint cooperation.
