The Arab League (AL) greeted on Monday the member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of establishing the council.

In statements on Monday, the AL Secretary General Nabil el Araby said that the GCC represents a role model of the joint Arab work, adding that it promotes relations between the Gulf countries, the matter which is stipulated by the AL charter.

Meanwhile, the GCC was established in May 1981.
