Arab League

The Arab League Council urged all Arab countries to meet their financial commitments to the Al Aqsa and Jerusalem funds.
This came in a draft resolution proposed at the conclusion of the 143rd round of Arab League council's meeting at the level of permanent representatives under Jordan's chairmanship.
The resolution will be submitted to Arab foreign ministers in their meeting Monday.
The resolution condemns all forms of Judaization in the East Jerusalem city, especially the Israeli scheme aimed at controlling Al Aquds and changing the geographic and demographic features of the city.
Also, it deplores the continuous Israeli settlements that target isolating East Jerusalem and dividing the West Bank into two parts.
It strongly denounces the ongoing Israeli diggings around the Temple Mount area and under Al Aqsa Mosque, urging the international community to stop these Israeli violations that go against the principles of the international law.
The resolution condemns the Israeli scheme to forcibly displace residents of East Jerusalem, mainly political activists and legal personalities.
The resolution calls on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and all global religious and cultural bodies to mobilize world public opinion to stop destroying all Islamic and Christian holy sites desecrated by the Israeli soldiers and settlers and protect all Islamic and Christian clergymen in East Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories.
