Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Sebastia Atallah Hanna said he will visit Cairo on Thursday to hold a meeting with head of the Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church Pope Tawadros II and Mufti Dr Shawqi Allam.

Speaking to MENA correspondent here, the archbishop said he will meet with Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb on Saturday.

The visit is in response to an invitation from the Palestinian-Egyptian friendship committee, he said.

Pope Tawadros had visited Al Quds recently to offer condolences and attend the funeral of Coptic Bishop of Jerusalem Anba Abraham, he added.
