Political Activist Alaa Abdel Fattah has been sentenced to five years rigorous imprisonment on charges of riots that took place outside the Shura Council in November 2013.
Cairo Criminal Court Monday found him guilty of riot incidents that took place on November 26, 2013, during which streets were blocked and security troops attacked.
The protest had also been organized without a permit.
