Five men suspected of killing one policeman and wounding two others in Alexandria, were captured Wednesday after a massive manhunt.
The suspects have lengthy criminal records, police said.
The police officers were conducting a routinely road checks when they were attacked by the suspects.
They will face charges of homicide of a law enforcement officer, attempted murder and possession of criminal weapons.
