Algeria strongly condemned the terrorist attacks that targeted North Sinai on Wednesday leaving some Egyptian army personnel dead and wounded.

It expressed solidarity with the Egyptian government and people.

In statements on Thursday, the Algerian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdel Aziz Ali el Sherif said the terrorist attacks are heinous, noting that those acts will never harm the unity or the will of the Egyptian people and the security forces.

Algeria, which suffered form black extremism, stresses its solidarity with Egypt, calling for uniting Arab and the international efforts to put an end to terrorism, he underscored.
