Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal underlined Tuesday in Algiers that Algeria is free to make its sovereign decisions thanks to its potentialities, underlining that the building of a sound and diversified economic basis is the State’s challenge as from 2015.
Speaking at the closing of the Youth Economic and Social Conference, Sellal said that Algeria is free in its decisions thanks to its means, underlining the importance of diversifying the national economy and not to rely only on oil revenues which will “continue supporting the State’s efforts.”
Underlining that Algeria is not afraid of the future, Sellal said that the challenge for 2015 is to build a national economy based on a solid industrial basis thanks to hydrocarbons, but diversified.
He stressed the importance of training which will allow to young people, through incubators, start-ups and the State’s support, to create wealth that will improve living standards.
In this regard, he said that Algeria has skilled workforce likely to allow it to achieve the underlined objectives.
Prime Minister insisted on the need to build a modern State while maintaining to the foundations of our Tamazight, Islamic and Arabian identity.
