Algerian security bodies opened a probe after receiving information about Daesh plan to carry out terrorist operations in two Algerian airports, according to Algeria's El Khabar newspaper.

The newspaper said that leaked information from one of al Qaeda cells, which were disbanded in Europe, contributed to preventing two terrorist attacks in Hassi Messaoud and Houari Boumediene airports.

Exceptional security measures were taken through Algeria International Airport and the various airports, added the paper.
