Algeria on Sunday handed over the Arab League secretariat a check worth 36 million dollars to support the Palestinian Authority budget for 2016 fiscal year.

This came during a meeting between AL Secretary-General Nabil el Arabi and Algerian Ambassador in Cairo and its permanent representative at the AL Nazir al Arabawi at the AL headquarters in Cairo on the sidelines of the urgent meeting of the AL council at the ministerial level to be held today.

In a press release, the AL said this comes within Algeria's commitment to support the Palestinians' struggle.
