Migrants

Algeria will spare no efforts to take care of the migrants coming from Sahel States, ensured Tuesday in Blida, Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs, Mounia Meslem Si Amer.
"Algeria’s policy with its neighbors has always been founded on solidarity," the minister told reporters during her inspection visit to Blida, underlining that it will do everything to assist those persons.
Questioned on the modalities of taking care of these migrants, the minister mentioned "an action of solidarity" jointly led by further sectors, such as the Ministry of interior and ministry of health and population, "for assisting the migrants from Mali and Niger".
"Instructions have been given to all the prefects to devote spaces for these migrants," she underlined, adding that the operation "is hampered by the refusal of these migrants to gather on one only place."
Moreover, the minister stressed that the health ministry "works to set the best conditions for healthcare coverage for the displaced."
