Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Saturday removed the head of the country's counter-espionage unit, according to Algeria's Al Nahar TV channel.

The move came only one day after Bouteflika has removed heads of the presidential security and the Republican Guard units.

On Thursday, Bouteflika conducted a partial cabinet reshuffle including ministries of trade, agriculture, rural development and fishing and youth.
