Egyptian parliament

Minister of Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Magdy Agaty slammed some media reports alleging tinkering with lawmakers' immunity.

In statements to reporters on Thursday, he said this is "bare of truth" and it is the constitution that governs dealing with MPs.

Meanwhile, he noted that lawmakers will forge the parliament bylaws without the government interference, Agaty said.

He said MPs will depend on the existing bylaws until drawing up new ones in line with the constitution.
