The Saudi Alriyadh newspaper highlighted on Friday the importance of the role that can be played by Egypt's House of Representatives both at the internal and regional levels.

In its editorial, the paper said the new parliament proved the Egyptian leadership's commitment to fully implement the road map announced following the June 30 Revolution.

The parliament is very important for the Egyptian State as the return of political life to the Egyptian street would prevent any attempt utilizing political vacuum, it added.

The House is also expected to strengthen Egyptian-Gulf ties, according to the paper.
