Egyptian Ambassador here Khaled Tharwat accompanied by Consul Sherif Mokhtar visited Sunday Mafraq Public Hospital to oversee transportat of the bodies of the seven Egyptians to Jordanian capital Amman.

The wounded will be transferred by helicopter to Prince Hamzah Hospital in Amman where they will receive suitable treatment.

Seven Egyptian guest workers were killed and three others were injured early Sunday, when their mini bus collided on the Mafraq-Safawi road.

Mafraq Governor Ahmad al Zu'bi received Tharwat upon his arrival in the hospital where they went to the forensic medicine department so as to follow up the transportation of the bodies to Cairo.

Tharwat thanked the Jordanian health and interior ministers, al Zu'bi and the Armed Forces for swiftly finalizing the needed measures and cooperating with the Egyptian Embassy in Jordan. 

The Egyptian diplomat inquired after the health of one of the injured from Mafraq Public Hospital Director Smeir al Mashaqba.

The Egyptian Embassy saves no effort to serve the Egyptian expatriates and support them, Tharwat underlined.

For his part, al Zu'bi offered condolences of the Jordanian government and people to the families of the victims, hoping a speedy recovery for the injured.
