Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ahmed Qattan described the visit by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz visit to Egypt, scheduled for Thursday, as historic and unprecedented. 

In a statement Wednesday, Qattan said that the visit affirms the close ties binding Egypt and Saudi Arabia. 

The bilateral ties are witnessing remarkable development year after year in the various fields, added the ambassador. 

The unified visions and stances between Cairo and Riyadh are among the main factors that preserve the stability of the whole Arab nation, he noted.
