The Anbar Operation commander Qassem al Mohamedi survived an assassination attempt when mortar shells hit the command in the Iraqi province of Anbar on Sunday.

An Iraqi security source accused the terrorist group Daesh of carrying out the attack.

It pointed out that two soldiers were killed in the attack which inflicted heavy material damage to the command building.
