An anti-aircraft gun was seized among other weapons during a security campaign in North Sinai.

Secret investigations revealed that a person in North Sinai is hiding a large amount of firearms in an underground depot at his farm.

A security force headed to the area and found a wooden casket buried in the sand containing an anti-aircraft gun, 75 of its ammunition, two RPGs, 18 RPG projectile, a general-purpose machine gun, a sniper rifle, a gunshot, 11 ammunition belts of the general-purpose machine gun, nine firearms cartridges and 3,414 bullets of different calibers.

In wide-scale security campaigns in Minya, Qalubiya, Aswan, Assiut and Alexandria, 156 firearms, 18 firearm cartridges, 4,191 bullets of various calibers, 4,338 blocks of hashish, 92 kg of cannabis and a number of illegal drug pills were seized.
