Largest drug bust

Anti-narcotics teams on Wednesday carried out a number of raids on three locations in the Central Badia region, including one location that was being used to produce the hashish material known as ''Joker.'' The team busted four people involved in three cases and seized different amounts of drugs and weapons.
Media Security Center at the Public Security Directorate said the anti-narcotics team's ongoing efforts to research, investigate and track those promoting and smuggling the contraband resulted in identifying these sites.
The facilities were being used to promote and process narcotic substances for sale.
The Center added that a plan to raid those sites falling within the jurisdiction of the Central Badia region was prepared, and officers raided a house and arrested a wanted person who was in possession of two kilograms of Hashish.
The Center also said that 30 kilograms of Hashish were seized and 10 boxes full of drug materials, in addition to various kinds of weapons and ammunitions, were also confiscated.
