Riyadh - Arab Today
Spokesman of the Arab Coalition Forces and Saudi Defense Minister Adviser Ahmed al Asiri said that the forces of the coalition were not notified of any new peace negotiations between the Yemeni legitimate government and the rebels.
In statements to Saudi Alekhbariya channel, al Asiri underlined that the previous consultations which lasted for three months did not have positive outcome thus they were suspended.
During the peace consultations held in Kuwait, the Houthi militias and supporters of former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh breached the truce.
He stressed that the attacks launched on the Saudi borders from Saada province which is the hotbed of the Houthis, adding that more attacks took place after the coalition forces targeted Sanaa where terrorist Yehia Abu Rebua was killed.
Concerning the participation of some members of the Houthi militias in the forces of the Yemeni legitimate government, the spokesman reiterated that this is not the first time that the Yemenis feel the importance of supporting legitimacy.
