The Saudi-led Arab coalition targeted on Sunday a Houthi-controlled training camp for African mercenaries in Hajjah governorate, an adviser to the Saudi defense minister said.

Speaking to Sky News TV channel, Ahmed Essiri said the camp was used as a warehouse for explosive materials used by the Houthi militants.

Yemen has been engulfed in conflicts between Houthis and the government forces since early 2015.

In late March, a Saudi-led coalition of Arab states began launching airstrikes against Houthi positions in Yemen at the request of Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.
