The Arab Committee on Child Rights has issued 54 recommendations at the end of its meeting in Sharm el Sheikh, said Enas Mekkawy, Head of Women, Family and Childhood Department of the Arab League.
The committee called for circulating the project of rehabilitation and reintegration of street children and adopting the final version of a comprehensive Arab plan to ensure the rights of a child in cases of disasters and crises, Mekkawy told MENA.
Mekkay said that the committee also called on Arab League Secretary-General Nabil el Araby to address the Secretary General of the United Nations to assign a day for orphan child worldwide.
Nine events on child will be held in 2016 in various Arab countries, Mekkawy said.
