The Arab League Council will hold an extraordinary meeting on Thursday to take a unified stance over Turkish troops' violations on the Iraqi territories.

The meeting, which will be held at the level of Arab foreign ministers in the presence of the league Secretary General Nabil El Araby, comes upon a request from the State of Iraq.

Turkish troops entered Iraqi territories weeks ago under the pretext of training the Kurdish Peshemrga forces near the city of Mosul but the Iraqi government responded to the incursion angrily and called for withdrawal.
