Cairo - Arab Today
An emergency meeting will be held at the Arab foreign ministers level on Thursday, December 24, to discuss the Turkish incursion into an area near the Iraqi city of Mosul, said the Arab League on Wednesday.
Arab League Assistant Secretary General Ahmed Ben Heli said the meeting will focus on the Turkish incursion upon Iraq's request.
Iraq on Thursday urged the Arab League to discuss the Turkish aggression on its territories and that the Arab countries backed its request.
The gap between Ankara and Baghdad over the deployment of Turkish troops to a base near Mosul continues to widen.
