Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby will review during meetings of the Libyan neighboring countries the pan-Arab body's stance on the developments and proposals on Libya, said AL Deputy Secretary General Ahmed Bin Heli.

In press statements Monday, Heli voiced hope that the ongoing consultations between Libya focus on forging a unified government led by the UN. 

Bin Heli also hoped that the new Libyan government will be transferred to the capital, Tripoli, in order to start undertaking its urgent tasks. 

The meeting will be crucial in supporting the Libyan people, he said, adding that the Libyans should realize that it is high time to agree on assigning the new Libyan government to start implementing its assigned tasks in line with the agreed political program in Skhirat, Morocco, he added. 

The Libyans are facing daunting challenges, topped by the terrorist groups, he said, warning the Libya's unity is facing threats as there are indications of interference by foreign parties. 

Araby headed for Tunisia Monday morning to attend a meeting of Libya’s neighboring countries on Tuesday.

The meeting will include ministers from Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, Tunisia, Chad and Niger, as well as representatives from the African Union, the Arab league, the European Union and Libya.
