Cairo - MENA
Arab League Secretary General Nabil el-Araby has warned of risks of escalating terrorism in the region.
Araby called for unifying regional and international efforts in the face of terrorism.
He touched upon non-stop efforts to crystallize an Arab plan of action against terrorism.
The plan should be referred to the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers before the upcoming Arab summit in March, the AL chief said.
Araby, who was delivering an inaugural speech at the 35th session of Arab women on Saturday, also called for unifying efforts to improve conditions of women in the Arab world.
He pressed for action to socially empower women and protect them in areas of armed conflicts.
