The Arab League Council strongly condemned Tuesday the Houthi group's occupation of the UAE Embassy in Yemen's Sanaa.

In a statement, issued by the end of the emergency Arab League meeting earlier in the day, the Council called for evacuating the embassy building and handing it to embassy employees.

The Council affirmed its support for the UAE and its right to hold the perpetrators accountable.

It also lauded UAE's efforts in support of Yemen's stability.
