The emergency meeting of the Arab League Council at the permanent delegates' level started here on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Bahrain's Ambassador to Egypt Rashed al Khalifa and in the presence of Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby to discuss the serious escalation in the war-ravaged city of Aleppo.

Earlier, Qatar requested holding an emergency meeting of Arab League envoys to discuss the dangerous escalation in the city of Aleppo and the massacres against civilians there.
