The Arab League is following up the developments in Lebanon in light of the rising wave of protests in the country.

Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby said he had a phone call with Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil over the protests in the country and the repercussions of the vacant presidential seat. 

Beirut has been witnessing protests in the past few days under the theme of “You Stink” to demand the government remove enormous heaps of garbage from the city’s streets.
