An Arab League (AL) mission arrived here on Friday to monitor Sudan's general elections, due on Monday.

In statements, chairman of the mission Alaa el Din el Zuhairy said the AL mission is made up of 40 persons.

He added that 17 teams have been formed to monitor the elections across Sudan.
