Special Representative of the Arab League Secretary-General for Libya Dr. Nasser Al-Qodwah discussed by phone on Thursday with Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and head of UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) Bernardino Leon the latest developments of the situation in Libya.
The conversation focused on Leon's efforts to resolve the Libyan crisis and mediate between the belligerent parties as well as the outcome of the recent round of dialogue at the UNSMIL HQ in Geneva, the League said in a press release.
Al-Qodwah reaffirmed the League's support to Leon's efforts and highlighted the need to pursue consultations on the next steps in this regard, the statement added.
