Arab League Secretary-General, Dr. Nabil Elaraby, has congratulated the Kingdom of Bahrain on the selection of Manama by Arab Youth and Sports Ministers Council as the Capital of Arab Youth 2015 . Dr. Elaraby considered the Arab Youth and Sports Ministers Council's approval to launch this initiative, which was proposed by the Kingdom of Bahrain, comes in recognition of the key role played by Arab youth in the creation of the present and future of Arab countries and promoting development process witnessed by Arab region.
