Arab League (AL) Chief Nabil el Araby on Wednesday stressed support for endeavors by UN special envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed to reach a humanitarian truce in the war-torn Yemen.

In a phone conversation with Ahmed, el Araby called on all the warring factions in Yemen to respond to such endeavors to stop the bloodletting in the country.

During the phone call, they discussed the efforts exerted to reach a truce during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
