Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil el Araby warned on Tuesday of the difficult conditions suffered by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

Following a meeting with UNRWA's Commissioner General Pierre Krenpol, Araby called for providing the UN agency with all needed facilities to empower it to meet the needs of refugees in different fields.

Araby praised the role played by the UNRWA since the start of its activities in 1949, especially in the field of education in the Palestinian territories, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
