The Arab League vehemently condemned Israel's practices in the occupied East Jerusalem, especially fabricating stories to justify settlers' storming of Aqsa Mosque.

In press statements on Tuesday, AL Deputy Secretary General Ahmed ben Helli balked at Israel's practices which provoke Muslims.

He said that imposing more military laws and intransigent policies against Jerusalemites is part of an Israeli scheme to promote settlement policies and change the demography and geography of the occupied Jerusalem.

Ben Helli slammed the Israeli measures as representing a flagrant violation of the international law.

The AL cautioned of the gravity of what he termed as the "insane" Israeli policy that simmers tension and religious conflicts.

The AL held Israel fully responsible for its "destructive" policies that further complicate regional conditions
