The opening session of the extraordinary meeting of the Arab League Council held at the permanent delegates' level strongly condemned the terror attacks targeting the Egyptian army in North Sinai.

The Arab delegates expressed solidarity with the Egyptian leadership, government, people and army and support for measures taken to fight terrorism.

Addressing the gathering, Egypt's permanent delegate Tareq Adel said the Egyptian army's response to terror organizations in North Sinai that staged the attacks Wednesday was harsh.
