The Arab ministerial mini-committee in charge of supporting the Palestinian cause at the international level held a meeting at the Arab League premises in Cairo.

The committee discussed the ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian cause and ways of taking Arab action in order to provide international protection for the Palestinian people.

The meeting was held under Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and in the presence of Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad al Maliki, Moroccan Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Minister Mbarka Buaadh, Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Arabi and Arab League representative to Jordan Bisher Khasawneh.

The meeting was held prior to Arabi's visit to New York Monday to take part in the international meeting, which was called for by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to discuss criteria related to choosing the new UN chief.

Arabi will also brief the UN chief on the Arab vision and the proposals related to providing protection to the Palestinian nation.
